First of all, do not attempt to set appointments or tell anyone about Melaleuca until after you've done your first set of homework and completed your Strategy Session with your enroller or mentor.

DON'T WAIT - START YOUR TRAINING

1.  Why do you want to build a Melaleuca business?  Why do you want to earn an income?  What will $X extra each month do for your life, for you and the people in it?  What will your life look like?  What future are you creating?  How will it be different?  Be sure this is in writing.  Share it with your enroller and coaching team so we can truly be on your team to help you reach your goals.  (I pretend I'm writing a letter to someone - it is easy to create the vision and express it.)

3.  Watch this 4-minute review of your Preferred Customer BenefitsThis is what you have and what everyone you enroll gets as Preferred Customers.  These products are the business.

4.  Watch all of your LEARN TO EARN videos.  They are short - about 60 minutes total.  As you watch these, Melaleuca's gift of $100 for your future shopping will be credited to your account.  Pay attention!  The products are what you get as a customer and they are our business!  (You'll be impressed).

5.  Watch the "Foundation Video" in which founder Frank Vandersloot eloquently introduces the partnership philosophy and the business-building concepts.  (Your WHY may be refined here.  Go ahead and rewrite it).

6.  Watch Melaleuca's brief Getting Started videos.  There are phone numbers on that page.  Be sure you've got them recorded in your business notebook and in your phone.

7.  Listen to Jim Rohn, a very well-known trainer.  His principles of creating wealth with a referral business are right on target.  Your point of view will be adjusted.  Your mind will be opened to a new future through your new business.  Listen on your computer by clicking here: Building Your Network Marketing Business.

8.  Meet with your enroller and/or coach for your Strategy Session.  Create a goal and an immediate action plan inside a longer-term general vision fulfilling on your WHY.  With your enroller or coach get some initial training and make some phone calls to set your first appointments.  Get the ball rolling.  This is an "On-the-Job Training" sort of business.  You don't need to know everything.  Your support team and other resources are there right when you need them, as you need them.

9.  Join MyMelaleuca (Melaleuca's primary training site) and go through the Getting Started audios there, focusing on Critical Business-Building Activities #1 and #2 - "Keep Building Your Contact List" and "Setting Appointments".  Get busy!  Set appointments and, with your coach's assistance, enroll your first customers.  Then proceed to the Building My Melaleuca Business part of this website.  Congratulations!


Why do we want you to fully understand the many benefits of your membership, how to access your benefits and be clear that you are getting better for less? 
  • So you can make the most of being a Preferred Customer yourself, and 
  • So you will have confidence to set appointments to share Melaleuca and, so that eventually you will conduct your own informative and effective Delivering Wellness overviews to create the referral income you want.  


YOU'RE ON THE RIGHT TEAM

​We want you to succeed.  You will succeed if you are coachable, seek the coaching and take the coaching - i.e. implement the actions.  This isn't a job where someone expects you to show up at a desk and do certain work.  You say what you want to accomplish, we'll suggest how it should look, and you decide to do it.  We'll work with you as hard on your business as you do.  Set business hours (talk with your mentor about that), and stay in communication with your enroller, coach, mentor...  Get plugged into various training, and always stay in training.  You have a BIG TEAM to support you.  Download, print and use the Getting Started Checklist and Director This Month Checklist (see the top of the right column of this webpage) and do the studies prior to your STRATEGY MEETING with your enroller, coach or mentor.

​You will gain knowledge of Melaleuca, its products, and how to build a Melaleuca referral business over time, under your coach's training.  It is On-the-Job training.  You do not need to know everything to get started.  You do need to have a couple tools in your tool box in order to get started, though.  

Coaching:  Melaleuca has been growing at a phenomenal rate over its 28 year history.  Over this time, many people have blazed the trails of enrolling customers and have become incredibly successful and enjoy wonderful incomes as a result.  Many of those leaders have come together over the years and refined the simple way to create a growing, reliable income.

You define your goals - $500/month, $1500/month, $!5,000/month or more.  Your enroller, mentor or coach will coach you to reach those goals.

We know you have experience in different areas of your life, in business, at work.   It may be years in sales, engineering, retail or a multi-level marketing company.  We acknowledge that you've got 'smarts' and you probably have a lot of great ideas based on your experience or what you think could work.  We ask you to do this:  Suspend what you think you know about building a business and be coachable.  Do you want to be successful with your Melaleuca business, whatever your goals? It would make sense to follow the advice of successful leaders, wouldn't it?


LIFE-LONG LEARNING

There is always something to learn.  Learn as you go.  Follow the Seven Critical Business Building activities and develop your skills and deepen your knowledge as you go.  You don't need to know all the answers, ever - the company is the true source.  You'll gain more knowledge and get better at setting appointments and enrollments.  Schedule your training by accessing the various calendars linked from this and other websites.

Download and print   Follow the guidelines to prepare you for your follow-up strategy sessions with your enroller/mentor.
  • Right Away - Prior to your Strategy Session with your enroller or mentor.
  • Second Objective:  Director III in 90 days.  You'll be assisted in assisting one (or more) of your enrollees in becoming Director their first month, too.
  • Third Objective: 20/20 Club - "TwentyFive and Thrive", actually.  Create a rock solid foundation on which to grow. Maintain enrollment momentum through 25 Preferred Customers.  You will achieve 20/20 as you achieve Director III.
